Nemàtodes que composten? / Kompostující hlístice? / Composting nematodes?

Nemàtodes. Solen tenir molt mala reputació per atacar plantes. Però aquests han aparegut en un test on feia setmanes que només hi tenia restes de fulles en descomposició. 

Hlístice. Mají obvykle špatnou pověst, že utočí rostliny. Ale tyto se objevily v květináči, kde jediná potrava byla už dlouho jen rozpadající se listy.

Nematodes. They have a bad reputation to produce damage to plants. But these have appeared in a pot where the only food available for weeks was leaves in decomposition.

Enciam 'Carxofeta de l'Espà' / 'Carxofeta de l'Espà' lettuce

He collit unes fulles d'enciam 'Carxofeta de l'Espà'. Varietat pròpia del Berguedà, llavors comprades a les Refardes inicialment. Ara, però, ja em faig llavor pròpia deixant espigar alguns exemplars.

Sbíral jsem pár listů salátu katalánské odrůdy  'Carxofeta de l'Espà'. Semínka jsem nejprve koupil, ale teď si sbírám vlastní semínka od salátů, které nechám vykvést.

I have taken some 'Carxofeta de l'Espà" lettuce leaves, Catalan lettuce variety. Seeds bought at the beginning, but now I obtain my own seeds letting some of the lettuce plants bolt.

5 mesos oferint cada dia nèctar d'alfàbrega a les abelles

Al mediterrani, l'alfàbrega no té perquè ser una planta només d'estiu. Diversos peus d'alfàbrega estan en floració des de l'agost. Aquest hivern pràcticament cada dia els visiten abelles, només una a la vegada (la quantitat de nèctar no deu donar per a més abelles).

Ve Středozemí bazalka nemá proč být jen letní rostlina. Nechal jsem vykvést několik rostlin bazalky ze srpna. Tuto zimu přilétají k nim včelky. Je jim vidět teměř každý den, nikdy víc než jednu (třeba množství nektaru nestačí, aby pro něho přiletělo víc včel). 

In mediterranean climate basil does not need to be limited to the summer season. Several basil plants have been blooming since August, offering every day nectar to the bees. This winter the bees can be seen almost everyday, though only one at a time (maybe not enough nectar for more bees?).

The bees come probably from an apiary located at about2.5 km (1.5 miles) from here, in Barcelona.

In January you won't probably find other blooming basils in Barcelona.
